Voices of the Class of 2026

Deborah Mery

Salutatorian, Class of 2026
Vassar College, Biochemistry | Full-Ride Scholarship Recipient

Cristo Rey Miami helped me believe that my dreams were possible. Through my classes, college counseling, and my work-study experience at Baptist Health, I discovered my passion for science, service, and healthcare. Working in a professional setting helped me grow in confidence and confirmed my dream of studying biochemistry.

Now, as I prepare to attend Vassar College on a full-ride scholarship, I feel grateful for the teachers, counselors, supervisors, and community who walked with me every step of the way. Cristo Rey taught me that I belong, that I am prepared, and that possibility is real.
