Possessing both enrollment management and community engagement experience, Issac brings a wealth of knowledge. He has worked to develop pipeline programs through Upward Bound, Educational Opportunity Programs, and Summer Bridge initiatives. Also, Issac has worked as an advisor for student cultural clubs, trainer for student organizing efforts, and advocate for immigrant student rights.
Miami is familiar territory for Issac as he has worked as the Dean of Students for St. Thomas University and Chief of Staff for Florida new majority. He has also volunteered for local community organizations, including serving as the board chair for the Miami Workers Center.
Issac received his doctorate from Florida Atlantic University’s Comparative Studies Program. He earned his master's degree in Counseling and Human Services from DePaul University. As an undergraduate, he studied at Elmhurst College, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology.
