Eligibility and Admission process

Step 1:

Confirm Eligibility

• Financial:  Cristo Rey Miami exclusively serves students who desire a college prep education but could not otherwise afford to attend a private high school. Demonstrated financial need is a requirement for admission and is evaluated on a case-by-case basis through the financial qualification process outlined here: Tuition and Family Contribution. 
   
• Academics: Students must have at least average grades and attendance and be willing to work hard to meet high academic expectations and the work obligations of the school. 
   
• Employability: Students must possess the maturity and work ethic necessary to be successful working with adults in an office environment.  All students must be authorized to work in the United States by the first day of the work-study program.
   
• Age: Students must be 14 years old by September 1, 2027

Step 2:

Complete & Submit Online Application

Complete your application online through Cristo Rey Miami’s Admissions Portal. The form will guide you step by step through information about your student, parent or guardian information, and other important details needed to begin the admissions process.

Before you begin: Have your student’s basic information, current school and grade level, and any applicable scholarship information available.

Step 3:

Submit Required Documents

After completing the application, families will be asked to provide additional documentation to continue the admissions process.

Required documents include:

• Proof of household income
• Current grades or most recent academic records
• Teacher recommendations

Please submit all requested documents through the admissions portal so our Admissions Team can continue reviewing your student’s application.

Step 4:

Complete the Student Interview

Students will participate in a 30-minute interview with our Admissions Team. This conversation helps us get to know each student beyond the application, including:

• Interests
• Goals
• Strengths
• Areas for growth
• Readiness for professional work
• Desire to attend Cristo Rey Miami

The interview is also an opportunity for students to ask questions, learn more about the Cristo Rey experience, and share why they would like to become a Monarch.

Step 5:

Receive Your Admissions Decision

Once the required steps have been completed and the application has been reviewed, families will receive an admissions decision according to the published admissions timeline.

Admissions decisions may include:

• Accepted
• Accepted with additional requirements
• Waitlisted
• Additional information requested
• Not admitted

Families will receive information about any required next steps with their admissions decision.

Step 6:

Complete Enrollment

Accepted families must complete the enrollment process by the stated deadline to officially reserve their student’s seat. Enrollment requirements may include:

• Enrollment contract and enrollment fee
• Parent/guardian consent forms
• Emergency contact and medical information
• Transportation agreement
• Corporate Work Study Program contract
• Employment eligibility documentation
• Scholarship information
• Final academic records
• Health and immunization records

Our team will provide accepted families with instructions and deadlines for completing all required enrollment items.
