Ms. Moreiras, a highly respected educational leader, brings extensive experience with a deep and loyal connection to the South Florida community. She began her career with Miami-Dade County Public Schools as a volunteer and went on to serve in various roles with increasing capacity and responsibilities during her thirty-one year tenure. Her record of achievement was instrumental in ensuring Miami-Dade County Public Schools, a four-time finalist, earned the “BROAD Prize of Education” in 2012. As a result, the school system was awarded a cumulative $1.2 million in recognition for its proven greatest overall performance and improvement in student achievement while closing academic achievement gaps among low-income students and students of color.
Ms. Ferro holds a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Nova Southeastern University, and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Florida International University. Ms. Ferro has 30 years of successful experience identifying and strategically developing market opportunities, gaining access, and building relationships with key decision-makers, as well as negotiating agreements in highly competitive markets. Amelie held various senior leadership roles in the corporate sector from 1994 to 2012, and most recently co-founded two AdTech companies, CimaCast and YieldPass, which were subsequently acquired by RCN.
Mr. Muñoz holds a B.A. in Sociology and Latin American & Latino Studies from the University of Illinois-Chicago, a Master’s in Teaching from the National Louis University, and he is currently pursuing his Ph.D in Educational Leadership at DePaul University.
During his nine years as a professional educator, Mr. Muñoz has developed curriculum and led network-wide math instruction with the Aspira schools network in Chicago, IL. As a Dean of Students at Aspira Haugan Middle School, Mr. Muñoz led numerous school-wide initiatives to drive positive school culture, daily attendance, and improve academic achievement.
As the Founding Principal of Cristo Rey Miami, Mr. Muñoz has developed the Cristo Rey Miami Academic Vision, student handbook, has selected curriculums, and developed foundational policies and procedures.
Mr. Muñoz is a graduate of Cristo Rey Jesuit High School in Chicago.
Ms. Domond holds a Master’s in Management from the University of Florida, and a Bachelor’s in Health Service Administration from the University of Central Florida. Ms. Domond joined the team with 7+ years of nonprofit and school-level management experience, and is a start-up owner as well. Ms. Domond founded Oikonomia Creative Consulting and has worked with organizations such as Meals for Hope, 1 by 1 Leadership Foundation, and KORE Haiti. Lune comes to Cristo Rey Miami after spending 2 years at City Year Miami as an Impact Manager where she led a team of 15+ and assured that all students received the appropriate tiered interventions.
Mr. Ramirez has earned a Bachelor's in Organizational Communications and has a minor in Psychology. Currently Rameses is finalizing his Master's in Global Strategic Communications. His past experiences include being President of Lambda Pi Eta Honor Society at Florida International University. During his time as President, he has led a team to rebrand the honor society by creating a new website, managing an Instagram page, and creation of a new logo.
Ms. Jackson has acted as CFO for various nonprofits in New Jersey since 2007. Between 1999 and 2007 she served as an Adjunct Professor in the Department of Economics and Graduate Business School at Montclair State University (1999 to 2006). She started her career in international banking and held various executive banking positions from 1990 to 1998, including deputy head of the Mexico Office for Swiss Bank Corporation. Ms. Jackson holds both a Master’s of Business Administration and a Master’s of International Affairs from Columbia University, with a Bachelor’s degree from Grinnell College.
